20 Dec

COGA 2014 Christmas

The COGA Committee wishes you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. We hope 2014 was an amazing year for you, and 2015 is bright and light and full of exciting adventures.

COGA has had a bumper year, hosting two very successful events and launching our special project, the Cheltenham Rose. This limited edition beauty can be ordered now, for delivery in Spring 2017. To place your order, complete the Order Form online or download the Order Form (in PDF format or in Word format) and follow the instructions.

We are looking forward to hosting our Annual Teachers Event in February 2015. Stay tuned for more details!

In the meantime, we have our December Newsletter for your reading pleasure. Normally only available to our members, this newsletter is accessible by one and all, as our gift to you this Christmas.

Take care over this festive season. In light of recent events, hug the ones you love just that little bit tighter, and tell them you love them just that little bit louder. Stay safe, and look forward to an exciting 2015.

COGA Membership Renewal | Now ONLINE!

6 Aug

You can now renew your membership ONLINE!!!

Please click on the About tab, scroll down to the section titled “COGA Membership Renewal”, complete the form, and submit your details. You have the option of paying your membership fees by EFT or by cheque, and your membership will become active as soon as we receive your payment.

It’s that simple!

The annual membership fee is $10. That’s right, just $10 a year! Your financial support is an important part of our annual budget and assists us in providing a momento to Year 12 students at their final assembly and the annual COGA Citizenship Award presented at the CGHS Presentation Day.

It has come to light that we had erroneously included the incorrect banking details in our latest newsletter, and as such, a number of membership renewals have not been successful via EFT. Please note our correct banking details, as follows:

Cheltenham Old Girls Association Inc
BSB: 659000
Account No.: 668862

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 3 August. A sumptuous High Tea was served to our members at the Epping Club and it was enjoyed immensely by one and all. Welcome to all of our new members who joined COGA on the day.

We have some very exciting projects coming up, so please renew your membership to get the news first!

Seasons Greetings from COGA

COGA Membership Renewal Notice

2 Sep

We know people have busy lives, and small things get forgotten. Your Cheltenham Old Girls Association Inc. membership for 2013/14 was due on 1 July 2013. Cheltenham graduates great students with a whole range of skill, abilities, interests who find incredible pathways through life. Join up and encourage your friends to join so we can create networks of powerful women.

You will need to be a member to keep in touch with what’s planned to mark the 60th Anniversary in 2017. We are already in the planning stage & there are some very exciting events leading up to this momentous event.

COGA is much more than a group of ex-students, but a great way to share ideas & areas of expertise. We have accomplished so much this past year including:

• The inaugural Teachers’ Afternoon Tea in February re-uniting many of the former & present teachers with their past students.
• Continued support of the Award for Citizenship given each year on Presentation Day
• A memento to each departing Year 12 student.

Renewing is easy. Click here for details; complete the application & send via post to PO Box 1594, Macquarie Centre NSW 2113. You can pay by EFT / Direct Deposit or by cheque – see details on website.

Membership rates are: Yearly – $10.00

To those of you who have already paid your renewal fees, a huge thank you for your continued support.

Any questions, ideas or comments, please email us at cheltenhamoldgirls@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

COGA 2012 Annual General Meeting

26 Aug

The COGA 2012 Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday 19 August in the CGHS Staff Common Room. For those of you who are interested, here are the Minutes of the meeting.

The attendees were treated a private guided tour of the Year 12 Art Exhibition in the School Hall, as well as a sumptuous afternoon tea prepared by our President, Jenny Gleadall.

One of our main concerns is still the lack of interest from Old Girls to become financial members of COGA. Membership has remained at $10 for a number of years, but for some reason, we are still struggling to attract new members and retain past members. This small financial commitment, which equates to around 2 cups of coffee, makes up the desperately needed funds to continue the COGA tradition of providing a treasured memento to the CGHS Year 12 students, as well as the Citizenship Award at the Annual CGHS Presentation Day.

Membership fees can be paid by EFT or by cheque, and all our banking details are listed in the Membership Form. Please give serious consideration to joining / rejoining us.

We have elected a larger Committee for 2012-2013, and we have lots of fresh ideas to grow, reinvigorate and publicise COGA. We would love to see past members return to share in all the news and upcoming events.

We hope you enjoy reading the Minutes, and can’t wait to see the huge influx of membership in the near future!

COGA Update | Winter 2012

16 Jul

The Winter Edition of the COGA Newsletter is OUT now!

All members with email addresses should have received the Newsletter via email today. Members who have not provided us with an email address should receive their Newsletter in the post before the end of this week. If you haven’t received the Newsletter via email, please check your “Junk Mail” or “Spam” folders – our email may have accidentally ended up in one of these folders.

By the way, here’s a hint on how to prevent future correspondence from COGA finding their way into these folders – just add our email address (cheltenhamoldgirls@gmail.com) to your contacts.

The Newsletter is packed full of news and information. Highlights of the Newsletter include:

1. A word from our President
2. Dates for your diary
3. Linnet Girls Choir, 40 years on…
4. A small change to our banking details

You can also access the Newsletter via the brand new Members Only section. This section is restricted to Members Only and requires a password to access the information. Please email us at cheltenhamoldgirls@gmail.com for the password.

We strongly discourage Members from sharing the password with non-members. We will be posting to this page information that all COGA Members have paid their membership fees to access. Sharing the password with non-members defeats the purpose of having a restricted, Members Only section.

There are a number of upcoming COGA events, so we hope to see you at one of them in the near future!
