COGA Event: O Teacher, Where Art Thou? More News!

5 Feb

We are so lucky to announce another 2 former teachers who will be joining us at the inaugural COGA Teachers Event.

Mrs Helen Smith who taught English from 1989 to 2003, and Ms Helen Esmond who taught History and Social Studies from 1992 to 2002 are looking forward to spending the afternoon sharing their CGHS stories with us, and we are thrilled they are taking the time out to come to our afternoon tea.

As you know, the event is opened to all former students, and even if you don’t know any of the teachers coming on the day, please still come along and meet these wonderful men and women, and swap stories on how the school has changed from your days to theirs. Some of these former teachers only recently left the school, so they will certainly be able to tell you all the exciting changes the school has seen over the years.

Don’t forget, all attendees will be treated to an exclusive guided tour of the Museum of Ancient Cultures. The Museum is all ours for the afternoon, so you can view the collections at your leisure.

Tickets are still on sale for a limited time, so hurry and grab your tickets before they’re all gone! We accept payment by cheque (made out to Cheltenham Old Girls Association and sent to PO Box 1594, Macquarie Centre NSW 2113) or by Direct Debit / EFT Transfer (BSB: 659000, A/c No.: 668862). If you are paying by EFT, please use your name as a reference and email us (cheltenhamoldgirls@gmail.com) to confirm payment. Tickets are on sale until Wednesday 13 February.

Hope to see you on Sunday 17 February!

Gloria Hill
COGA Secretary
