COGA 2012 Annual General Meeting

26 Aug

The COGA 2012 Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday 19 August in the CGHS Staff Common Room. For those of you who are interested, here are the Minutes of the meeting.

The attendees were treated a private guided tour of the Year 12 Art Exhibition in the School Hall, as well as a sumptuous afternoon tea prepared by our President, Jenny Gleadall.

One of our main concerns is still the lack of interest from Old Girls to become financial members of COGA. Membership has remained at $10 for a number of years, but for some reason, we are still struggling to attract new members and retain past members. This small financial commitment, which equates to around 2 cups of coffee, makes up the desperately needed funds to continue the COGA tradition of providing a treasured memento to the CGHS Year 12 students, as well as the Citizenship Award at the Annual CGHS Presentation Day.

Membership fees can be paid by EFT or by cheque, and all our banking details are listed in the Membership Form. Please give serious consideration to joining / rejoining us.

We have elected a larger Committee for 2012-2013, and we have lots of fresh ideas to grow, reinvigorate and publicise COGA. We would love to see past members return to share in all the news and upcoming events.

We hope you enjoy reading the Minutes, and can’t wait to see the huge influx of membership in the near future!

    The larger committe sounds great.

I would like to know more about the Citizenship Award. Is there somewhere on the school web page where I can find information?
